MISPLACED FAITH
One day this boy found a rusty old lamp,
He found it exploring a cave cold and damp.
As he picked it up he realized it’s glow,
A low hum rumbled through him, from his head to his toe.
Curious, he scrubbed off the superfluous dirt,
The lamp started shaking, and he feared it might hurt.
But all of a sudden a genie came out.
It would give him a wish, the boy started to shout.
“I want money, or toys, I could wish for the world!”
As his options laid out, his decision unfurled
“I wish to fly, like the birds in the air.”
“As you wish,” said the genie, “I will leave now, take care.”
Confused, the boy watched as the genie evaporated.
After smoke and a crack, the boy’s consciousness faded.
When he came to, he was covered in white.
He looked for a color, but there was not one in sight.
Suddenly, dark blue enveloped his eyes.
Startled, he emerged from a cloud in the sky.
“I’m flying,” he thought, soaring high above the earth.
With unnatural powers controlling his girth,
He told the power to change his direction.
It did what he said, it was a strange connection.
Just as he started to get used to flying,
The power diminished, and he suddenly feared dying.
He could not control his direction anymore,
He felt like he was falling, not at all like before.
Only then did he realize, his grave mistake,
He did not even consider that this genie’s power was fake.
Who was he to put such faith in a stranger?
He got caught up in the moment, and was ignorant to danger.
Without reliable source, his new powers depleted,
The boy fell towards earth, tragically defeated.
It’s every boys dream to fly high in the sky,
But unless it’s god-given, they will surely die

What Ryan got dad for being his father
Dad got a new folding hammock for fathers day. It folds up just like a camping chair, real easy to set up. Now daddy can bring it whenever he goes on camping trips and look at the stars. Ryan's been thrilled because dad hasn't moved from the chair since he opened it.

Dreamworld By Ryan Sandberg
Angels fish in the great lakes of laughter,
impregnating the rainclouds with smiles,
the giggling is glorious now and hereafter,
cascading in heavenly styles.
Who does one lock in a chest with no key
if that one is alone with not one with to be?
the angels of course they bring path to the lost
when their fiery horse sings its way through the frost.
It's not that a friend has not one to defend,
but in oxygens end we have learned to depend.
Shimmering mirrors of Million-watt faces
nudge your feet with their eyes on a need-to-know basis.
Memorize feelings felt deep from inside.
They're your friends, they're your foes,
they're your worst fears denied.
DREAMS.

My Mother, i mean sister...
This blog is all about my beautiful sister tiffany from the point of view from her wide eyed and idolizing little brother. you may think that sounds like a sandberg exaggeration, but... you're mistaken. Tiffany is my idol and i'll tell you why. Tiffany doesn't really know this but i remember when i was younger and in elementary school a teacher would ask us all to write a paper on our hero. now i remember my little brain wondering who i admire and look up to most. everyone else wrote about their parents. i wrote about my sister. you see i never could understand it but my sister tiffany Never excluded me. if she went somewhere, I came along. although i don't really ever remember her giving me the choice- ha she would just say, "hey ryan get your shoes on, were going to my friends house." of course i would have said yes everytime she asked anyways. She even took me on dates! and by that i mean, her, a boy, and ME. even when it was to a place i really didn't wanna go like castles and coasters or something. i'm way afraid of roller coasters yet there i was, riding the swinging pirate ship! (tiff is the only person to ever have been sly enough to even get me in line for one of those things, let alone ride it.) "oh its not even bad, its like your swings at recess..." her including me was such a small thing really, but eventually i started noticing that not every little brother is fanned and fed grapes like i was. my friends sometimes would ask their sisters, "hey will you get me some water?" afterwhich i'd be surprised to see the sibling say, "bite me". oh. i thought. thank you tiffany. perhaps one of tiffany's GREATEST moments for me was when she announced that she's bringing her soccer team over to our house for a slumber party. it was a FEMALE soccer team mind you. and they were all models in my eyes, them being two grades older! ah, shangri la. now lets assess the situation. WHO, tell me who would let their brother hang out with the team? my sister is the best. we went tee peeing, and made gingerbread houses, and made mummies out of each other.. i remember it like it was yesterday. (although my vision was a little blurry because tiff said i would score more points with the girls if i didn't wear my glasses...) anyway. just so all you know, this is the caliber of person were dealing with. this is Tiffany Knox. she's an amazing mother and friend. and i mean that with all my heart. tiff and me get along like anzlie with a microphone. Everytime i am graced with the opportunity to be with her i have a Blast. sigh! JUST TALKING ABOUT HER makes me miss her guts! i CANNOT wait to see her again. she is more talented than anyone i know, more than she realizes i'm sure. every action she performs is something remarkable. as her little brother, i'm always a couple rungs down on the ladder looking up with determination to do the same. what a view! haha jk.. i admire you tiffy, never forget it. your little brother thinks you are his hero. and he loves you a buttload. thanks for truly being one of the best sisters ever to raise a brother on this planet. :)
